To Whom It May Concern:

I am a graduate of Landmark Education's curriculum for Living, which includes the Landmark Forum at its introductory course. I completed the Landmark Forum in July of 1989 and I have remained active in the course work, through Landmark and various seminars and leadership programs since then and I am currently participating in a leadership training program called the "Team Management and Leadership Program" (TMLP).

When I registered into the Landmark Forum, I was a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Houston Division. Also, I have a background of five and a half years of law enforcement as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. I have been and remain very careful about the type of work and the organizations with whom I associate.

I have found that the educational curriculum of Landmark Education Corporation has assisted me in developing increased levels of personal and professional effectiveness as an investigator and public servant. I have in previous years recommended Landmark Corporate Training Curriculum to the FBI Academy at Quantico Va. I would not have done that if I did nI haot believe that the work itself and it's practically were valuable and sound. I am currently pursuing a course as a fine artist which has been a childhood dream. Using Landmark's technology, among other things has allowed me to make a successful transition from law enforcement to my current vocation.

I am able to highly recommend a career in law enforcement as a very honorable and satisfying one while remaining true to myself: a fine artist. The use of Landmark's technology has made this type of flexibility more available to me in life.

In conclusion, Landmark Education is not a cult. It presents non-linear education that is a powerful compliment to the traditional education that I have already received. To classify the organization as a cult is inaccurate and a mistake since one of the outcomes would be to make that technology unavailable for interested persons to use.

Also, I am intelligent enough to be able to recognize a cult, which I am clear, would destroy my freedom of choice. Such has not been the case, nor is it so now.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours truly,

Aloma D. Marquis, Former Special Agent, F.B.I.
