Why take the Landmark Forum?

The answer depends on you and what you want. To begin to answer that question for yourself, I suggest that you study this site, particularly reading peoples' experiences.

Why do my friends always talk about it?

People talk about stuff that they like. I talk about computers a lot, among other things. The Landmark Forum is another thing I like.

Why are they so pushy about it?

The Landmark Forum is very special and it touches many people very deeply, so it's easy to see how your friends could get really excited about it, and it seems like they're being pushy. Give them the benefit of the doubt - they got a lot of value out of it and think it would be valuable for you, too.

Will it harm me?

Y'know, this was my number one concern before I took the Landmark Forum. I was afraid I would be harmed or diminished in some way, like I would gain some new ability but lose an existing one. Believe it or not, I was worried that I might somehow lose the ability to program computers (something that I love to do and am really good at.) Well, I did the Landmark Forum, and of course I can still program and feed myself and everything!

I have never met or heard of anyone being harmed by taking the Landmark Forum. However, if you are being treated by a psychologist or psychiatrist or whatever, the Landmark Forum may not be for you. For more information, contact Landmark. A lot of therapists say that the Landmark Forum is not harmful at all -- Check out our letters from health professionals.

Is it going to change me?

People get in touch with what they really care about in life when they do the Landmark Forum, and sometimes their priorities change. You will still be you, but more fully who you are. You will find you have a freedom to fully take on things in your life in a way you may not have done so before. People find the courage to do things they have been putting off for a long time.

What about the negative stuff I read on the Internet about Landmark Education?

It's really easy to make a lot of noise on the Internet. I googled for Walmart sucks in April of '07 and it returned 1.35 million webpages. A recording of someone trying to close their AOL service was listened to millions of times in a few days. I think the amount of negative stuff on the Internet about Landmark is about average.

If you choose to read through some of the negative stuff, I suggest that you do some thinking about what you're reading and ask yourself who wrote it and what are they revealing or withholding about themselves and their motives. You know, read between the lines. People have a right to their opinions, but it is up to you to sift the facts from the opinions. I recommend looking for firsthand experiences of people who actually have participated in the Landmark Forum (a number of which can be found here on this site, along with videos), not the opinion of someone who has never done it, or only went to an introductory evening, or knows someone whose cousin knows someone, etc. etc.

What about the site that I found called "Rants and Raves", that says it is an unbiased, neutral gateway to information about the Landmark Forum?

I don't think it is neutral or unbiased at all. It definitely is much more negative than positive. I have more to say about it on my page about the Rants and Raves site.

How long have you been doing this?

I've been doing Landmark stuff off and on for about three years.

Are you getting paid to do this website?

Nope.

Who pays to serve out your site?

I do. (It's incredibly cheap.)

Why would you want to do something like that?

Because this is good stuff and my wife and I want people to know about it.

I created this site 'cause I love the programs at Landmark Education, and love what they have contributed to me and my family.

Is it religious or is it a cult?

It's not a cult, and I wouldn't be in a cult.

I am clear about this from my personal experience, but there are also plenty of psychologists, psychiatrists and clergy who say that Landmark Education is not a cult, cult-like, or religious in nature.

Bishop Otis Charles says "that by no definition that he knows of can the Landmark Forum be considered part of a cult. He says the organization and courses are conducted consistent with any accredited educational institution".

The Landmark Forum empowers what you are committed to in your life. If you are religious or spiritual, participating in the Landmark Forum will enhance that. It is not affiliated with any religion, and people of every religion and of no religion have taken the Landmark Forum and found it to be valuable.

Your site looked fairly cool in 2001 but it's old school now, and I'm being generous.

Well, there ya go. I'm clear about what I think is cool-looking but I don't know how to make it myself. I'm a wiz at putting data behind something pretty, though, a skill not on display with this site.
