Rick Ross claims to be a cult expert. In an October 9th, 1993 article in the Houston Chronicle, Nancy Ammerman, one of nine outside experts asked to review the FBI attack on the Branch Davidians at Waco, said that the FBI had no way to evaluate and screen offers of help to "determine who's the crackpot and who's the expert." She said the FBI relied extensively on the advice of cult deprogrammer Rick Ross. Mr. Ross dismisses her as a "cult apologist."

| In a civil case brought by Jason Scott against Ross in the state of Washington, the jury held Ross liable for "conspiracy to deprive Scott of his civil rights of freedom of religion. He acted intentionally, recklessly, and in a way so outrageous in character and extreme in degree to go beyond all possible bounds of decency in a civilized community".
It is my belief that he is a poor excuse for an expert, and has no legitimate credentials. Click here to visit Rick Ross's site. |
